Now the 2nd most confused part of these methods is the cost or fee. There are pre-defined set of rules that has been regularized by the joint governing bodies of St. Kitts and Nevis till date. An investor must have to pay definite amount of fee for his\herself or any additional member of the family to become a citizen of St. Kitts and Nevis. There are different amount of fees for the both above mentioned methods.
Fee Structure for obtaining St Kitts citizenship by Real Estate Method:
· Purchase the approved property of Minimum USD $400,000. ( Eligibility Criteria )
· A fee of $50,000 must be paid by the applicant to become a citizen of St. Kitts and Nevis.
· A fee of $25,000 must be paid by the applicant for his\her spouse to become a citizen.
· A fee of $25,000 must be paid by the applicant per child (under 18 years old) to make him\her the citizen.
· A fee of $ 50,000 must be paid by the applicant for a qualified dependent (excluding spouse & parents)
Fee Structure for obtaining St. Kitts citizenship by SIDF option:
· Contribution of $250,000 must be financed in order to qualify for the citizenship by investment program.
· A fee of $300,000 with up to three dependents must be paid by the applicant to become the citizen.
· A fee of $350,000 with up to five dependents must be paid by the applicant to become the citizen.
· A fee of $450,000 with up to seven dependents must be paid by the applicant to become the citizen.
· Additional dependent will be served upon the payment of $50,000 (above seven dependents).
These are the fee structures for both the methods. The process of taking possession of legal documents my take up to 3 months or so. If the investor is found to be disqualified by any reason, the government is subjected to return full amount of fee without the dedication of a single penny.
